The Little things...

remember my three days to see album I was all excited to start?...got 2 pages done and then life took over....well today I did a simple page for it....harping back to yesterdays ramblings and realising my boys are just growing all too fast for my liking....I thought I never want to lose the picture of my boys playing happily together....that's an image I want to etch into my memory...so I figured I better do a page for it for my 3 days to see album....I'm not a day time scrapper....I hate doing bits and pieces of something over the day in between life....I so prefer the dark nights when everything is quiet to scrap...so this is the best I could manage for a day time layout.

to be a child....

Today I spent the day with my boys at the museum....mind you I had to nearly drag my Samuel there.  Then when we were there he said "can we come here every holidays?"  And at home this evening he asked his dad if they could go again on Saturday.....ah kids!   Anyway there are only a few days left of school holidays.  I LOVE school holidays.  I love the chance to spend time with the boys, get dressed late, play around at home, go on outings together and just have FUN.....these holidays however I have realised my boys are growing up...the twins still have it in them but I can see the " child"  leaving my Samuel.  These holidays he has wanted to spend more time with his friends, more time at home on the X Box or the computer than on our family adventures.....and I'm silently screaming...NOOOOOO....no longer is an adventure at a park the best day ever!...no longer is mum the funnest person on Earth.....no longer are his brothers his favourite partners in crime.....he's growing up........sorry about my " wo is me" post...but really must they grow up?  I don't think they have to!  I really would rather keep them at this age and never have them reach double digits...PLEASE!???

OK get your act together Daph.....so....it was a fun day.....Caleb, who has had a life long love affair with dinosaurs was so excited to see the dinosaur skeletons....and was very upset that there weren't any dinosaur bones for him to take home.  Isaac loved all the spiders and bugs...and Samuel's favourite was all the life sized stuffed animals.....and me, who has to admit is not really a museum fan at the best of times actually really enjoyed it.......it was a fun day.

  since it is sooo COLD I thought a summery layout might warm me up a little.....didn't work but at least I scrapped!!  Thanks to Miss Ange for this layout...she provided the white pen....if you are like me a good pen is a must....I'm always on the look out for good pens and keep buying all sorts till I find one I really like.  I don't buy a heap of scrapbooking supplies but I go through my pens at an alarming rate...anyway I have never found a white pen I really like...they seem to last for a while then die or just not be strong enough....but if you are after a good white pen this is the best!  And Ive tried them all....I'm letting Ange's secret out...its a Uniball Signo  UM-153....now I just need to find the perfect black pen...which I still haven't after trying about 100 different sorts.....wo00ow....wasn't that an exciting post.....world shattering news about white pens.....OK so now I'm off to watch some DVDs in front of my fire with all the kiddies asleep finally....this is why I love holidays....I can relax and not feel guilty that I have 100 things to do.

Cadbury Roses.....

yay I'm back online.  Ive been without a pc for most of this week and I hate it...I always wonder how we ever lived without these machines we have become so defendant on...well I have anyway....but now I'm back with my dh's old pc as he now has a laptop.  I'm very excited...I had a dinosaur before with horrid screen colours so now I have a faster pc and a screen with decent colours.  It wont be guess work now whenever I try and print photos.

its school holidays right now.  I love school holidays. Once your children go off to school you never seem to see them anymore.  I love the chance to spend this time with them and just to take things a little easier because of the holidays.  We went and saw CARS today.  I was pleasantly surprised. I liked it.  Usually I sit in the boys movies counting down the time till the movie is over but it was a good one today.

Yesterday was my mum's birthday.  The boys had a great time making a giant card.  They decorated it all and made a giant heart in the middle with glued on Cadbury Roses chocolates.  They were so proud of their efforts and soo excited as they waited at the front door for my mum to answer the door.  It was fun. ...well I'm off to scrapbook....a miracle!

Australian Scrapbook Convention

well let me just say...this was the place to be this weekend...The first Australasian Scrapbook Convention in Brisbane......it was fantastic.....got home about midnight last night...kids are now off at school....Ive got a house to clean and work to do but have to blog about this first.

What a fantastic weekend and how lucky I was to be able to teach at this event.  I taught 4 classes a day, 3 days in a row...I was pretty much on my feet for 10 hours a day and I was absolutely exhausted...I fell into that hotel bed of mine each might as if I was sleeping on a cloud...even though it was as hard as sleeping on concrete flooring...but I was so exhausted each night it didn't matter.

The students at the event were amazing....so appreciative...so friendly...just gorgeous ladies....so waving a BIG HELLO to you all if you happen to come by my blog.  Teaching was so fun and I really loved how great the students were......FANTASTIC!

I went not knowing anyone really...except peoples names because in scrapbooking you always seem to know everyones names and faces so it was lovely to be included and meet some of these names and faces.  Special thanks to Alison Shearer, Jhodi Bennett and Tracy Watson who took me in and didn't let me wander the streets of Brisbane by myself each day getting to and from the hotel...oh except one night when I told them all to go ahead and when I finally left my classroom at 9pm at night to do my 15 minute walk to the hotel I went the wrong way and walked around Brisbane in the rain for the next hour till I found the hotel at 10pm! 

The food was YUMMMMOOO...really gorgeous...the gala dinner was fun and me, who isn't really a dancer finally got up and then quickly realised it was the last song...ah well at least I got up......the whole event was so well run and just wonderful.....Kirsten Butts the STAR was a trooper helping out us whinging tutors...thanks.....

overall I had a wonderful time...those that missed it - ah well...you missed it...don't miss it next time....for those I met...HELLO and thanks for making it a lovely weekend......now back to reality...one more uni assignment to do, due Friday, some product to finish designing and then Ive got 4 weeks off Uni to relax and Scrapbook...yay!.....but did I say I was EXHAUSTED!

oh if you are wondering why no photos - I didn't take my camera...what?  a scrapbooker without a camera....I had so much luggage on the way....I had all my class kits and was way over I had to leave half my clothes behind, lots of stuff and the bulky camera was another thing...so anyone who has photos Id love for you to send me something then I can put it on my blog....and did I say I was exhausted?!!
